Dr. Wei Li practices Non-surgical Sports Medicine at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group’s Physical Medicine and Non-operative Sports office on Farmington Avenue in Bristol. With comprehensive training in functional anatomy, he diagnoses and treats athletes and individuals of all ages to keep them healthy and injury-free.
Sports and physical activity have always been a bedrock in his life, centering him physically and mentally. His personal approach to sports medicine focuses on the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and significant diseases with a core emphasis on strengthening and health. He is a sports-related concussion specialist, helping players return to their sport quickly and safely.
Dr. Li’s clinical areas of interest include sports ultrasound guided injection therapies as a nonsurgical treatment for patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries. He also has a special interest in regenerative medicine through Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, which uses the body’s own healing and growth factors to overcome chronic injuries.
Dr. Li is dual board certified in Sports and Family Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He received his medical degree from The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glen Head, NY and completed his residency and fellowship at Northwell Health Plainview Hospital in Plainview, NY.
